The Rand Paul campaign was really proud of the $2500 their campaign received from the National Right to Work for Less Committee. Of course there is a very good reason for that. The National Right to Work Committee is an extremist group and as we all have seen Rand Paul is an especially extremist candidate. He opposes the right of Americans to have and maintain a middle-class and falls into the most helpless realm of corporate apology and welfare condoned by his new mentor, Mitch McConnell. The difference is, Rand Paul was undisciplined enough to tell you how Republicans really feel about you.
Today, there was a lot of news on the Healthcare front. It seems as if everyone is having some kind of problem or another with the way things are going. We have Corporate Democrats and Republicans who seemingly want no reform and are stalling for time, we have others calling for the states to take responsibility for a public option, and we have union middle-class workers crying foul for being expected to sacrifice even more as the drama rolls on.

The debate over Coal was raging before I was born and probably will be long after I am gone. Personally I do feel that we should move away from Carbon based energy as soon as possible but I realize that in my state many people are employed by this industry. Although living in Western Kentucky I never considered myself as personally impacted as some but when lives and livelihoods are in debate you can understand why passions can run pretty high.
A while back CNBC ruffled feathers by trying to minimize the greed of corporate CEOs in the crashing of our economy. Luckily, the were called out on it by Jon Stewart. Well, now they are at it again. As if those statements were not ridiculous enough, now they are comparing the Employee Free Choice Act to the elections in Iran.
A couple of the things corporate America and the Republican Party are always using to exuse their greedy actions is "The Free Market" and "Capitalism". Both groups are eternally determined to make us believe that having a middle-class in America would destroy both. However, it is nice every now and then to see some truly delicious irony. Now it seems as if working folks might actually use that Capitalist system we always here about against the very people who preach it.

Whenever one speaks of the Employee Free Choice Act, we always get a Santa's list of reasons why it would end the world if enacted. We hear how it will kill business and life as we know it in America. We get the same old propoganda shoved down our throats by the same old people. They continually tell us how when businesses are struggling, we simply cannot afford a middle-class in America.

We keep hearing all the fear and propoganda that is being spread by the enemies of an American middle-class about the Employee Free Choice Act. They say it will take your right to a secret ballot. They say it will destroy the economy. They say it will make business after business shut their doors. In truth, there is one industry the Employee Free Choice Act would cripple.
A lot of hooplah is being raised by the right and the enemies of the American middle-class about the Employee Free Choice Act. Much propoganda is being spread by the status-quo such as this article in a free publication I came across in my hometown of Paducah, Kentucky.

A flap was raised with European countries over a "buy American" clause in the Stimulus Bill. Since that bill will become law, it is being revisited. Now, it actually appears that American workers may at least benefit from some American policies. As she should, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi defended that in Europe.

No matter what your opinion on the auto bailout, one lasting image of that fight was Mitch McConnell, and his fellow facist neo-con flock "informing" Americans how we are too fat and sassy because we strive to create, and sustain a viable middle-class. Yes, the same group that supports bailing out the bankers, and for outrageous CEO pay that milks the very companies they run were telling us that the real problem were the greedy American workers, who god forbid want fair wages and some kind of benefits for their efforts.

When going through the long list of Bush Administration failures, it gets very hard to determine a starting point. Our country saw itself attack the wrong country, spending what will be a trillion dollars along the way, saw our deficit and debt balloon, saw our economy crash, saw the failures during Katrina, and well pick your favorite failure and insert it here. However, one failure that has not recieved as much press was his failure at OSHA in protecting worker safety.
