Presidential Snark In Arkansas?

by: Michael Conrad

Wed May 05, 2010 at 13:25:07 PM EDT

This is comedy, right?  Along the lines of "You know what tickles me? Eric Massa."

Michael Conrad :: Presidential Snark In Arkansas?

The part I don't get is that Angry Naked Rahm yelling at Massa was apparently a reality.  Blanche Lincoln, Opponent of Special Interests, is not reality - based in any way, shape, or form.  It's straight out of political fantasy land.

Maybe this is an eleventy bazillion dimensional chess move that is actually meant to highlight how ridiculous a grassroots pitch for Blanche Lincoln would be -- something that even the most talented of communicators couldn't pull off.  This is the same Blanche Lincoln who opposed the health insurance reform reconciliation fix, and has went out of her way to appeal to K Street and Wall Street. How that could equal Main Street cred is anybody's guess.

Senator Lincoln deserves some credit for her work on reigning in derivatives.  But you know who deserves more credit for Lincoln stepping up? This guy and his supporters.

Does general nakedness make Rahm Emanuel the Democratic Scott Brown?

And what is up with Operation Chope and Hange?

These political fantasies hurt people (3.00 / 2)
and you're right on about Bill Halter and his supporters being responsible for Lincoln's derivatives amendment effort.

I haven't heard much from her about it being cast aside for the most part, so perhaps her heart just isn't in it. actually we can be pretty sure about that since she voted to deregulate Wall Street as well.

I've got some snark for ya (3.00 / 2)
As I witness some of the ignorance in TomP's diary about this, I respond:

"But...but...HE DIDN'T MEAN IT, TOMP!" ;) (6+ / 0-)

*searches and ponders creative way to make excuses for this*

*writes recc list diary portraying this to be a 'don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good brilliant 12th dimensional chess move*

*Gets emotional and starts HR when facts are put forth*

*Writes a 'But look at him and his beautiful family' diary while working families suffer*

This is a bridge too far and this accurately describes about half of this community. I can't be kind about that. I'm glad you are here to wake people up or at least try to.

:D

Right on the money. (3.00 / 2)
You summed it up very well.

When I stop by there, there's usually some really good stuff on the FP (McJoan and Jed Lewison come to mind), but the rec list is a mixed bag.

It would be much better without so many (as you put it) "But... but... I HAVE PICTURES!!!" diaries.

blackwaterdog's heart may be in the right place, I don't know... but sycophancy is simply not "pragmatic".  Not at all.  Not even close.

Thanks, I have my moments of snarkyness (3.00 / 2)
TomP, slinkerwink, nyceve, Turkana, eugene(doesn't post much anymore which is a shame),bobswern and MinistryofTruth are good recc list properties when it happens. They represent the good half of the community.(mcjoan, Jed, and other FP are also good as you say)

blackwaterdog is hard to stomach and hard to have any respect for her ever since she lost it one day and insinuated everyone was racist form making substantial criticisms of Obama. That and she represents the worst kind of sycophant and hero worship on that level is dangerous.  It's not just her(she has too many followers), but the fact that her picture filled diaries(lol. you knew exactly whom I was talking about) fawning over Obama and his family(his family is of course nice to look at but still) diaries always make the rec list  and that represents the worst of daily kos. I think it represents why we don't have real solutions to all our problems on the table because there are wayyy too many supporters on the net and in real life like that.

It's called critical thinking for a reason.

I'm glad you liked that and knew about everything I was referring to, my friend.
